Robin Hood of Sherwood Forest

  So today in the Classically Catholic class of third, we celebrated finishing the book: Robin Hood in Sherwood Forest by Ann McGovern.  This has been our read aloud for the last month or so.  The kids have definitely enjoyed the tale!   I read the story aloud to them during snack time each day. Our culminating activities for Robin Hood included: several book report worksheets to complete - Character Analyses, Summarizing, and Setting worksheets - as well as the fan favorite: Design Your Own Book Cover.   We will send Robin Hood off in style on Thursday during Tea Time.  We will have "arrows" - fruit skewers consisting of green grapes, strawberries and paper feathers.  We will have cider and tea and cookies.  We will make Robin Hood hats and watch Robin Hood, the Disney version.  And we will have an archery "competition" with the wooden bows and rubber-tipped arrows I purchased from Amazon.  (The kids absolutely loved them at Michaelmas!
